JACINTH GLASGOW |
Associate Therapist |

Hello, my name is Jacinth Glasgow, and I am an Associate Therapist at Thrive Counselling.
I currently hold both a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Winnipeg, in Manitoba. I also possess certificates in Marriage and Family Therapy and Marriage and Family Theory.
I obtained a post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communication and Public Relations from Fanshawe College, in London, Ontario. I am also a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
It has always been my belief that the client is the expert on his or her own life, therefore; as part of my methodology I practice a client-led approach to therapy. During my time as a therapist I have worked with many clients of diverse backgrounds with varying issues including, but not limited to: self-worth, decision making, trauma, sexuality, spirituality, addictions, depression, anxiety, boundary setting and relational stress.
I would describe my therapeutic style as being integrative, structured upon nurturing therapeutic alliance while applying empirically tested modalities such as, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Satir, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy. I work with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, baking, reading, watching movies and traveling when possible. My favorite vacations are ones spent on a beach, eating good food, relaxing, and enjoying the sun.
